Forbes' football rich list: Real Madrid overtake Manchester United at No 1 - Daily Mail

UPDATED: 13:46 EST, 17 April 2013 Manchester United have been knocked off the top spot in the Forbes set of most valuable football groups by Spanish leaders Real Madrid. Top spot had been held by united since company authorities Forbes started compiling the record in 2004 but have been overtaken by Real. Barcelona come in third place and Arsenal next before Bayern Munich in fifth place. Forbes said in a statement: 'This really is the very first time since Forbes started pricing basketball clubs in 2004 that Manchester United is not No 1 on the record.
