Official: Kevin Davies won't be offered a new Bolton Wanderers package

Currently is Kevin Davies' 36th birthday. The Bolton Wanderers chief has been a person in the team for just a few months shy of a decade following as a free agent from Blackburn his arrival. His present contract expires at the end of the season. The club have just established that the chief will not be given a contract extension. That means that SKD's Bolton Wanderers tenure will end 1 of 2 ways: at the end of the season, no matter where Bolton Wanderers end up, or in this Football League loan window where he's had attention from multiple groups. There are ongoing debates by what, if something, the club can be offered by Kevin Davies. Despite his age, he's still able to put in strong performances for the men in white and his knowledge is undeniable. Davies recently started making his coaching badges and many had thought he would undertake a job with the team in a ability following his retirement. He's undoubtedly one of the club's highest earners, understandable given his years of service, and with three younger strikers all fighting for first team minutes (and perhaps looking likelier to score), the decision is understandable. SKD is appointed to create a radio appearance later today. Dougie Freedman made the situation clear, speaking in a record on the club's standard website: "Kevin Davies is and always would have been a Wanderers tale. "I desire to be fair to him in regards to his future, as he deserves it. This choice ensures that he's now liberated to sort herself out with a fresh club in sufficient time for next period. "Being the kind of man Kevin is, we lay down and had a chat about the future. He wants to keep on playing, and playing regularly. He's that need to carry on and this is actually the greatest move for him. "I want to thank him for his full support and complete professionalism since I have came. "He never gives anything significantly less than 100 % in training, or when called on for first group jobs. "He will continue being available for collection for the remaining activities of the season."
