Los Angeles Dodgers beginning Ted Lilly appears to be in a little of a predicament concerning the rehab of his shoulder. The veteran southpaw established that he was balanced and insisted he was ready for major league action, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, once the Dodgers asked his minor league rehab assignment to be extended by Lilly with another two begins. Gurnick continues, saying the Dodgers could either aactivate Lilly, identify him for job, release him, or trade him.a With the injury to Zack Greinke, it seems like the role will be assumed by Chris Capuano as the fifth starter in the rotation. That leaves Lilly in limbo. However, together with his contract up after the 2014 time, it would maintain the Dodgersa and Lillyas best interest to find a trade. As of now, no groups have openly expressed interest in obtaining the 37-year-old lefty, but his numbers have been sufficient over the last couple of years to prevent winding up an unsigned free agent pending a release.
