That night saw some of WWE's big names get hurt. Punk hurt his knee while facing Undertaker, The Rock suffered abdominal injuries against John Cena, Brock Lesnar suffered a concussion early on in his match with Triple H and The Game injured his hand against Lesnar.
Of all of the part-time talent performing at WrestleMania XXIX, Undertaker was the one that everyone seemed concerned about. In the end, the 48-year-old Undertaker walked away from his match 21-0 and seemingly injury-free.
After his WrestleMania win, fans received a special treat when he appeared on Raw that following night. Undertaker participated in a segment that featured The Shield, Daniel Bryan and Kane. At the time it was perceived that this was the setup for a feud between The Shield and Team Hell No.
Let's be honest, Undertaker doesn't wrestle more than once a year anymore. Moreover, Undertaker definitely doesn't wrestle on free television.
According to a recent article on WrestlingInc.com, Undertaker will be making his in-ring return next week on Raw. The article goes on to state that "Undertaker will team with Kane and Daniel Bryan to take on Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns."
This is going to be quite the special treat for WWE fans across the pond. Undertaker had previously been advertised to appear on the overseas edition of SmackDown. However, there was no mention of him wrestling or making an appearance on Raw.
I think that it's safe to say that Undertaker isn't going to be making any sort of part-time return. At his age and this stage of his career, I just don't see Undertaker signing on to do three or four big matches a year a la Lesnar.
It's never to early to begin to discuss who Undertaker's next opponent is going to be at WrestleMania. Is there a chance that he could square off against Ambrose? WWE could use this match as an opportunity to lay the seeds for something bigger down the road.
Of course, there is always the possibility that there is nothing more to this. WWE doesn't go to London all that much; this could just be their way of making it special.
