Meet with the Next Generation of Concept Contenders

The Indiana Pacers are among the several young groups which have cheated a somewhat poor Eastern Conference. Fueled by the continuous play of David West and the beginning of Paul George, the Pacers have established they have the various tools to compete for a tournament. With a defense that ranks second and first in opponent's points per game and defensive ranking respectively (according to Basketball-Reference), the Pacers be seemingly just one unpleasant spark from serious competition in the East. Fortunately for the Pacers, that interest is already on the list. Forward Danny Granger has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, but upon his return next season, the Pacers should prosper a whole lot more than they've on the offensive stop, where they average a 95.1 points per game. The Pacers' primary emphasis moving forward is likely to be keeping their frontcourt in tact, as David West is primed going to unrestricted free agency come july 1st. If the Pacers will find a way to keep West while getting the production from Roy Hibbert that he is placed during the last five games, they will take excellent shape. Based on NBA.com, Hibbert has placed averages of 21.4 factors and 10.8 rebounds over his last five, while shooting an effective 56 % from the field.
