The first-ever line involving the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators seemed prone to get in the Canadiens' benefit. They finished 2nd in the Eastern Conference behind the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they had a boatload of unpleasant skill to check their protection and Carey Price in purpose. The Senators were gritty and had overcome accidents through the period, however they seemed to lack firepower. They certainly were the lowest-scoring group playing postseason hockey. After the two teams split the first two activities in Montreal, the line turned considerably in the 3rd game. A tough, physical game was played by ottawa, and the Canadiens responded by wanting to goad the hosts in to fights and brawls. After Ottawa took a 2-1 lead into the third time, the Canadiens got steamrolled. The Senators outscored them 4-0 in the next period as rookie Jean-Gabriel Pageau obtained a hat trick from the infamous Price. They decided to brawl and take low priced shots, whilst the Canadiens fell apart. They lost their great, and head mentor Michel Therrien did little to quiet the situation. The Canadiens might be in trouble if the they cannot control their emotions from this point forward.
