Real Madrid and Juventus have dedicated themselves to the cause and this was shown by the representation of both clubs at the ceremony held in the Directors' Box at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The match aims to be able to deliver more than half a million afterschool snacks to more than five thousand children across Spain. "This is a legends match but the challenge is in the present, and we should not miss this opportunity to help, football cannot fail the children", said Florentino Perez.

The Real Madrid President was the first to speak at the ceremony in which he wanted to highlight that: "For a further year we can announce that we can look forward to a new date with history and legend. This match will not decide any championship, but this is a thrilling encounter because of everything that it symbolises. The hard work of the club and especially of the Realmadrid Foundation has made this match happen and it is a charitable act which extends us the opportunity to pay tribute to football. Some of the sport's most important figures meet again for another wonderful challenge, which like football is at the service of society and this time to help the most vulnerable, as children are".This is the fourth edition of this charity match as was mentioned by Florentino Perez: "On 9th June at the Santiago Bernabeu we will again see an exciting contest between Real Madrid and Juventus, a real footballing pleasure and a match between two of history's legends. I have to say a special thank you for the collaboration of this friendly club, one of the most loved and admired clubs that is synonymous with grandeur, tradition, success and pride. My thanks and respect go to one of the biggest clubs in the world and I want to thank the president especially for his presence here as it shows his great commitment to the cause".A match for everyone who comes to the Bernabeu to enjoy, and whilst helping a good cause. On 9th June in this stadium there will be players like Davis, Pessotto, Nedved, Zidane, Hierro, Butragueño and many more, who will forever be special players. Throughout history the two clubs have competed in matches and for titles, but this match will serve to try to alleviate the enormous difficulties that thousands of children and their families are now living with as they are affected by the terrible crisis that we are living through today. We also appreciate the commitment and collaboration of all of the institutions and companies that are involved through sponsorship so that this campaign can achieve its objective. We also wish to thank the state of Veracruz for showing their commitment to the cause and becoming the main sponsor of this great match", said Florentino Perez.

For us it is a pleasure and an honour to play in this footballing temple that is part of history".The Spanish Red Cross vice president, Javier Senent, thanked Real Madrid for their support towards this great cause. "For us it is a pleasure to be part of this presentation, the proceeds will go to children whose families are in a situation of social vulnerability. I want to thank the Realmadrid Foundation for their generosity and awareness when it came to contributing the resources necessary to make this campaign a success".

A large part of this recognition comes thanks to Real Madrid, one of the best clubs in the world, and whose impact reinforces Madrid's image. Real Madrid represents sports' best values and above all a healthy competitiveness, values that we should translate into society as a whole. Sport is one of the best avenues for social integration, and Real Madrid shows that it is an organisation committed to its city. This match represents the values of this club. Holding the Classic Match helps to ensure the well being of many children, which is reason enough for the people from Madrid to fill the Santiago Bernabeu on 9th June".
