Giveaway – Restricted Edition Cobra Rickie Fowler Excursion Trusty Wedge.

Your nearly-undisputed King of Limited Edition Golf equipment, Cobra Golf, is back with the latest in a steady stream of great, and relatively unique, semi-collectible golf golf clubs.

Previously Cobra has small their special offerings on the driver. That Limited checklist includes Long Tom Tender, AMP Orange, AMP Mobile phone Green, and forthcoming PEOPLE Open Edition AMP Cellular Pro.

A limited edition wedge, while not entirely a new comers to the market (Vokey has offered limited runs of select grinds with the past), it is an initial for Cobra, and the story in back of the RF Proto Wedge can have Rickie Fans desperate to pick up one of the 1600 gadgets Cobra has produced.

But before we discover the back-story, and a giveaway, let's talk a small amount about how the new Tour Trusty differs within the 2011 model.

When Cobra released your updated Trusty Rusty wedge in the fall of 2011, they stayed true to the Phil Rogers design. Such as the original, the 2011 type featured a tri-bounce bottom, a rounded shape, together with a fairly generous amount from offset.

For 2013 Cobra has transitioned from the game-improvement philosophy to produce a wedge suitable for the best players in the world. Unlike previous Trusty brands, the new wedge has not much offset, a near-straight innovative, and less bounce. While the Tour Trusty retains your wedge's signature scalloped trailing advantage, the size of the cutout may be reduced in the cutting edge model.

The new Tour Reliable features generous heel and toe relief down the trailing edge which gives the wedge more versatility and helps prevent digging when the skin is laid open.

The main edge of the See Trusty features what Cobra-PUMA's Movie director of of Product Promoting, Jose Miraflor, calls a ski grind. The style and design, which helps prevent the class leading edge from digging, is similar to what you'd find for an alpine ski. How some guy from southern California mastered anything about ski type is beyond me, but the rest of it actually makes a tremendous amount of sense.

The new Tour Trusy has been in an out of Rickie's bag for the reason that design has been modified and refined (based at feedback from Rickie, Ian Poulter, and additionally Jonas Blixt). Jonas Blixt and Jesper Parnevik already have one or more of the new wedges in their bags. LPGA star Lexi Thompson is working together with the new wedge, while Anna Nordqvist and MGS favorite Blair O'Neal enjoy the wedges in play.

If you ever follow Cobra-PUMA Golf Leader Bob Philion on Twitter you've probably remarked that when Rickie Fowler potential prospects Cobra-PUMA Golf Headquarters they will basically let him undertake whatever he wants. And apparently what Rickie wishes to do is leave his signature on basically everything he can get his sharpie-holding hands on.

So rather than move Rickie loose to autograph something diffrent in Philion's office, the minds at Cobra-PUMA thought it's more productive to let Rickie create a signature wedge. To that end these people turned him loose with some stamps and something of his favorite See Trusty models (the 55° type with 12° of bounce) and asked him to do it up the Rickie approach.

The 55° Cobra RF Proto #GoTime Small Edition Tour Trusty Wedge with True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 Tour Issue shaft shall be available June 1st at a retail price of $149.

Your retail model (available with October) won't have Rickie's rubber stamping, and it won't come with a DG Tour Issue Shaft (DG S200 is a stock offering). In addition to the same satin chrome finish in the Rickie model, the retail version is likewise available in a matte ebony finish. Both models could retail for $119.
