Players Championship 2013 Leaderboard: Complete Standings Heading into Round 4

An up-and-down Saturday at The Players Championship was marred by rain and suspended by darkness, so play—and tempers—spilled into Sunday morning for the conclusion of Round 3.

Now that the third round has concluded, three golfers find themselves tied atop the leaderboard heading into final stretch. Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia and David Lingmerth are all sitting at 11-under par, with the former two of those competitors notably having a heated exchange on Saturday.

These two rivals traded barbs and birdies up and down Sawgrass, as Garcia accused Woods of pulling a club to incite a reaction from the crowd on the second hole on Saturday.

While there were no outward signs of hostility on Sunday morning, the two leaders began battling from their second shot on 15 at 7:10 a.m. Garcia seemed rattled at first, bogeying the hole and getting off to a poor start.

However, the Spaniard quickly rebounded, birdying 16 and 17 to pull back even with Tiger, who also sunk a birdie putt on 16.

Even if there aren't any more hostile exchanges in the final round at the TPC Sawgrass, there should still be a wild finish in store.

Outside of the top-3, Wittenberg, Henrik Stenson and Ryan Palmer are all one stroke off the lead and poised to challenge for the "fifth major."

Other contenders include Jeff Maggert at nine under, David Lynn and Hunter Mahan at eight under, and Greg Chalmers, Marc Leishman and Lee Westwood at seven under. Defending champion Matt Kuchar is sitting at four under, Rory McIlroy is at five under and fan favorite Phil Mickelson missed the cut.
