Newcastle United Group Degree Pleases Alan Pardew - Atmosphere Tyne and Wear

Newcastle employer Alan Pardew believes his group has become strong enough to maneuver up the Premier League and bid for UEFA Europa League fame. The Magpies are six things clear of the relegation zone following Sunday's 4-2 win in the home to Southampton and next week they travel to Russia for the very first leg of a Europa League last-16 link. With crucial league games either side of that match, Pardew expects to change his line-up but he does not see that as a challenge, having strengthened his group in the transfer screen. He told the Chronicle: "Obviously I've surely got to change personnel but now we have got the quality and level to do it." The bench against Southampton covered the likes of Sylvain Marveaux, James Perch, Shola Ameobi and Vurnon Anita; a huge contrast from earlier in the day in the summer season. "We didn't have the strength we have now on the bench," included Pardew. "Perchie's come on against Southampton and seemed managed and shored us up. "You have also got the caliber of Anita coming onto the message - it generates a large difference." Midfielder Cheick Tiote also feels Newcastle will be climbing the dining table over the course of the rest of the period. Some good decisions were made by "the manager to get new players," he said. "This has actually helped us. I think we can all manage to work very well together and I think we have an excellent opportunity to get a lot of games. "We are happy with the group we've here. Everybody gets on well and we are getting excited about the remaining portion of the season. Things are looking a lot stronger and everyone should fight due to their place. "We could go for Europe as well, we should go possible as far in the Europa League."
