Reports in Cape Town today have suggested the Magpies have two games lined up against Premier League rivals Everton and Ajax Cape Town in July.
United managing director Derek Llambias indicated last month that America and Brazil were also possibilities for the club this summer.
But Ajax Cape Town spokesman George Comitis has confirmed that the games are now subject to local councils in the area signing off the fixtures.
And a hastily arranged trip to Germany and Austria wasn't confirmed until just days before their first game in Chemnitz before games with Monaco and Fenerbahce.
